Instructions,
Rules and Regulations
Only groups,
organizations, and units who have submitted a signed entry form will be allowed
to enter the parade. Entry form due date is Saturday, November 14, 2009 (one
week prior to parade). We will post on website www.fairgrovelions.com
confirmation of entry and approximate lineup position Wednesday, November 18,
2009. The final lineup will be posted on
the website Friday, November 20 and published in the Thomasville Times on
Saturday, November 21, 2009 (day of parade).
Parade
will be televised live on city government cable channel 13.
The parade will start at 3:00 PM, Saturday,
November 21, 2009 (rain or shine).

Units
that perform must keep moving forward in the parade procession while
routines are being performed. It is very important that no gaps exist in the
parade. Lions will be posted at various points throughout the parade to insure
a smooth flowing parade.
All
drivers of motorized units watch for Lions wearing yellow safety vest. Follow
their signals. At end of parade do not stop at underpass intersection to

units should be identified (signs) and should be decorated with a Christmas
theme.
Only
one Santa Claus will be allowed in the parade. This Santa will be riding the
Thomasville Chamber of Commerce Float at the end of the parade.
In
consideration of the acceptance of your entry in the Thomasville Christmas
Parade, you, including your employees and family members, release and discharge
the Fair Grove Lions from any liability in any activity from participation in
the 2009 Thomasville Christmas Parade. You assume all responsibility for
damages and or injury to your entry, other entries, spectators or private
property, etc..., resulting from your entry.
